Zhang Ping, General Chairman of GMC'10 and Professor of BUPT, China

Prof. Zhang is a well known expert of China 3G and 4G mobile communications. He is currently vice chairman of China FUTURE 4G program, technical advisor of MIIT mobile and satellite expert committee and director of BUPT Circuit and System research center, etc.

Arogyaswami Paulraj, "Father of WIMAX" and GMC'10 Distinguished Guest

Arogyaswami Paulraj is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University since 1993. His group has developed many key fundamentals of a new field called space-time communications theory and has helped shape a worldwide research and development focus on this technology. Prof. Paulraj is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering where he was elected for his pioneering leadership in MIMO wireless. He received the IEEE Technical Achievement Award in 2003 and several best paper awards from the IEEE and is a Fellow of the IEEE. He was recently acclaimed as the ^father of WIMAX ̄ by Business Week.

Willie W. Lu, Founder and Government Advisor, GMC China Mission

Prof. Lu has been special technical advisor for many government organizations of China ICT authorities since 1996. Prof. Lu was Professor of Stanford University and Member of Technological Advisory Council of U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Dr. Lu is chief inventor of the famous Open Wireless Architecture (OWA) technology core platform. Wu Hequan, Vice President, China Academy of Engineering

Prof. Wu is a fellow and VP of China Academy of Engineering. He was chief engineer and VP of China Academy of Telecommunications Technology (CATT). Currently, he is also VP of China Institute of Communications and Chairman of Expert Advisory Council of China Communications Standards Association (CCSA). Prof. Wu's research areas are next generation networks and mobile communications, both technology and strategy.

Wen Ku, Director General, Science & Technology Department, MIIT of China

Prof. Wen has been leading the technical activities of China telecommunication and information industry for long time as director of Data communications of Shandong province, deputy chief engineer of Shandong Post & Telecom administration, director of network management of China Post & Telecom Authority, vice director of MPT department of science & technology, vice director of MII (former MIIT) department of science & technology, etc. Prof. Wen obtained Msc and Bsc from Beijing University of Post & Telecommunications (BUPT).

Feng Jichun, Director General, General Office of Hi-Tech Development and Industrialization, Science & Technology Department, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China

Prof. Feng has been leading China's next generation mobile communication technology for almost a decade, especially in the field of beyond 3G (B3G) and 4G mobile communications. He was director general of HTRC (high-tech research center) of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China, and helped drive China's FUTURE program towards the China 4G mobile technology.

Xie Feibo, Deputy Director General, Radio Regulatory Department, MIIT of China

Prof. Xie  is now in charge of the wireless spectrum and satellite orbit administration, radio transmission specifications, radio transmission administration and international radio administration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China. He is responsible for the spectrum allocations and planning of 3G and 4G mobile communications as well as broadband wireless access and wireless LAN, etc. Prof. Xie obtained Bsc from BUPT and Msc from Beijing University.

Sha Yuejia, Corporate Vice President and Deputy General Manager, China Mobile (CMCC)

Mr. Sha obtained his Msc from Beijing Academy of Post and Telecommunications. His expertise covers optical communications, ISDN, mobile network optimization and evolution, impact of GPRS and 3G to the existing GSM networks and IP technology, etc.

Currently, Mr. Sha is in charge of the next generation mobile communication strategy at CMCC.

Leng Rongquan, Corporate Vice President and Deputy General Manager, China Telecom

Mr. Leng obtained his Bsc from Nanjing University of Post and Telecommunications (NUPT), and Msc from BUPT. He was chief engineer of Beijing Long Distance Telephone Bureau, deputy chief engineer of telecommunication administration of MPT, deputy general manager of both China Telecom and China Netcom, as well as vice chairman of the board, China Netcom (HK) Ltd. Mr. Leng is currently deputy general manager of China Telecom Group after the reorganization.

Zhang Junan, Corporate Vice President and Deputy General Manager, China Unicom

Mr. Zhang obtained his Bsc from NUPT and MBA from Australian National University. He was deputy director of Post and Telecommunication Administration of Anhui province, and general manager and chairman of the board of Anhui Telecom. He joined China Unicom Group in 2005, and since then he has been with China Unicom Group as deputy general manager. Mr. Zhang is in charge of the corporate development and business strategy, especially the 3G and 4G mobile.

Xu Zhijun, Senior Vice President, Huawei

Mr. Xu has been with Huawei for over decade, mostly in the top management level. He is in charge of the business strategy, marketing and sales, focusing on the convergence solutions with Huawei's key product portfolios.

Xie Daxiong, Senior Vice President, ZTE

Prof. Xie obtained his Msc from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1986. He is very active in leading technical activities in national 863 program of his field.

Prof. Xie joined ZTE in 1994, and became senior Vice President of ZTE corporation in 2004.

Li Yong, Vice President, Alcatel-Shanghai Bell, China

Stephane Maes, CTO, Oracle Mobile

Dr. Maes is Chief Architect and CTO at Oracle Mobile, Voice and Communications, in charge of Product architecture for SDP (Service Delivery platforms) and end to end OSS/BSS/SDP integration, and Technical strategy for SDP and end to end OSS/BSS/SDP vision targeting Telecommunications service provider and as well as enterprise markets. Dr Maes is widely credited for the evangelization of the use of IT technology concepts in driving the open service architecture platform. 

Michael G. Hill, General Manager, Global Telecom Industry, IBM

Mr. Hill is responsible for managing IBM's business and strategic initiatives with worldwide telecommunications service providers and developing alliances with key independent software vendors and telecommunications equipment manufacturers. In addition, Mr. Hill and his worldwide team work closely with customers to bring IBM's innovative technology, services, and solutions to the telecom industry. In addition, he was a member of the executive team managing IBM's transformation to an e-business.

Thomas Lee, Chief US Equity Strategist and Managing Director, JP Morgan

In addition to his role as a managing director at JP Morgan, Mr. Lee is the firm's Macro Small and Mid-Cap (SMID) equity strategist, focusing on stocks with a market capitalization below $4 billion. His approach in SMID-Cap is theme-based focusing on fundamentally solid companies that are generally overlooked by the street. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Mr. Lee was a managing director at Salomon Smith Barney. previously, Mr. Lee was a vice president at Oppenheimer, where he covered wireless services.

Lu Yong, Deputy General Manager, Ericson Greater China Region

Mr. Lu obtained his Bsc from Southeast University of China, and MBA from University of Chicago. Since joining Ericsson in 1995, he has been with several technical management positions in Ericsson. Currently, he is in charge of the greater China region business.

Lu Gan, Vice President, Nokia Siemens China

Mr. Lu was vice president of Motorola Asia-Pacific region in China, and President of NEC mobile communications in China. Currently, he is Vice president of Nokia Siemens Networks in China.

Latif Ladid, President, IPv6 Forum

Latif is President of IPv6 FORUM, Chair of European IPv6 Task Force, Emeritus Trustee of Internet Society, board member of IPv6 Ready Logo Program and head of University of Luxembourg on multiple European Commission Next Generation Technologies IST Projects. Mr. Ladid spent over 10 years in leading the global movement on IPv6 initiatives and is the worldly pioneer in this industry.

Ren Weiguang, Vice President, Motorola

Since joining Motorola in 2004, Mr. Ren has been leading Motorola personal communications in China as vice president in charge of all GSM related business.
